  • Use 2 growing seasons to produce seed
  • Germinate in 1 year usually, flower next year then die after seeds disperse


Winter Weeds

  • Germinate in late summer and early fall
  • May also grow same as annual plants
  • Have a thick storage root enabling good survival in adverse conditions such as winter


Perennial Weeds

  • Same plant reproduces year after year
  • ​Reproduce by seed or other vegetative parts
  • Can regrow every year even after loosing all foliage
